Software for helping keep thoughts together
So the further I get into the dissertation the more I realise just how impractical it is to work from paper notes. I've been exploring software packages for a little while to figure out what might be best to capture ideas, make connections between brain farts, and organise my thoughts into something usable. I've tried Omni Outliner, which really didn't work all that well for me and now I'm going to try out Tinderbox. It seems like a promising tool. The only problem with learning these productivity apps is that it takes away from actual writing time. Does anyone know if this is even worthwhile or should I just try to keep going along with paper notes?
